Will trees, hills or rocks impair the range of Cat Tailer?
Performance will always be best in open areas. Trees, shrubs and grasses minimally impact Cat Tailer performance.
If it is very hilly where you live, try starting out a search from the top of a hill rather than the bottom.
If it is very rocky or there are rock/brick/block walls, try searching on both sides of rocky areas or walls.

How will I know to replace the battery?
The smartphone application reports the remaining battery percentage. In addition, when it is time to relace the battery the light on Cat Tailer will begin to flash RED once a minute.

Is there a way to turn off the blinking green light?
Yes, you can extinguish the light. The same button used to activate Cat Tailer can be used to extinguish the blinking light. Simply press it once and the light will flash red twice to indicate the light is off. To turn it back on simply press the button again and the light will flash green twice to indicate it is back on. Either on or off the light will flash red when the battery needs to be replaced.

Does the Cat Tailer make a sound to help find the tag if the cat is in a brush hidden or in a closet full of clothing hiding?
During our product development we determined that any sound loud enough to be easily heard also scared the cat sometimes to the point of them running and hiding. Because of this we decided to not include that as a feature. At night the once per minute green flash from Cat Tailer assists in locating your pet. I normally use the app to get the closest possible range indication and then look for the most likely hiding place. The range indication may not be very small if your pet happens to be sleeping on top of the Cat Tailer. So always use the range indication as a guide and not as an absolute distance measurement.
